Jay Tinney is a BBQ champion and pitmaster who has won numerous awards throughout the state of Texas. In 2003, he bought his first pit on the side of the road, and since that day his passion for grilling and smoking was ignited. For over 15 years, he has been the head competition chef on several of the largest teams at the Austin Rodeo. Jay takes great pride in the flavor of his competition meats and is now bringing that level of excellence to Tinney Barbecue and your catering needs.
