BBQ Dry Rub Wings, 3 Ways

These BBQ Dry Rub Chicken Wings are one of the easiest—and tastiest—ways to make wings. This recipe, from Head Country Ambassador Cake 'n Knife, stars crispy skin, flavorful meat, and a blue-cheese sauce that will do absolutely nothing to slow down how fast the wings disappear. Whether you choose to go with the grill, air fryer, or sheet pan for cooking, these wings are sure to be a hit for your next game-day gathering or tailgating party.

BBQ Basics

Ingredients

For the Wings
4 lbs chicken wings, broken down into drummettes and flats
2 1/2 Tbsp Head Country Bar-B-Q High Plains Heat Seasoning (or any Head Country Championship Seasoning)
1/2 tsp baking powder

For the BBQ Blue Cheese Sauce
1/2 cup Head Country Bar-B-Q Sauce (I used Apple Habanero but you can use any one you love—and the Sugar Free sauce makes this recipe low-carb!)
1 cup blue cheese dressing (or ranch!)
Freshly chopped parsley for garnish

Cooking Instructions

Place wings in a large bowl. Sprinkle the wings with Head Country Bar-B-Q Seasoning and baking powder. Toss to coat evenly.

Place a wire rack on a sheet pan lined with aluminum foil. Refrigerate for 8 hours.

TO GRILL:
When ready to grill, preheat grill to high heat (400 degrees F). Once the grill is hot, cover and grill wings for 30 to 35 minutes, flipping them once halfway through cooking.

While the wings are grilling, make the sauce by combining Head Country Bar-B-Q sauce and blue cheese dressing in a small bowl. Stir until smooth.

Remove wings from grill and add to a serving platter. Garnish with parsley and serve with sauce.

TO AIR FRY:
Add refrigerated wings in a single layer to greased air fryer basket. Cook wings at 400 degrees F for 25-30 minutes, flipping them once during cooking. While the wings are cooking, make the sauce by combining Head Country Bar-B-Q sauce and blue cheese dressing in a small bowl. Stir until smooth. Remove wings from grill and add to a serving platter. Garnish with parsley and serve with sauce.

TO BAKE ON A SHEET PAN:
Add refrigerated wings in a single layer to greased sheet pan. Cook wings at 425 degrees F for 30-35 minutes, flipping them once during cooking. While the wings are cooking, make the sauce by combining Head Country Bar-B-Q sauce and blue cheese dressing in a small bowl. Stir until smooth. Remove wings from grill and add to a serving platter. Garnish with parsley and serve with sauce.
