There's just something about a meal cooked over a campfire. This mac and cheese is rich, creamy, and ready in minutes, cooked in a cast iron skillet over coals or the fire at your favorite campsite. Cook and pack the noodles with your other camping essentials to make things easy.
1 lb elbow macaroni
2 C. cooked, shredded chicken
1/2 C. Head Country Bar-B-Q Sauce (your favorite flavor! We love Original or Hot & Spicy for this)
2 C. whole milk
8 oz. cream cheese, cubed
2 tsp. Head Country Championship Seasoning, Original
8 oz. shredded mozzarella cheese
8 oz. shredded sharp cheddar cheese
Boil noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
In a small bowl, combine shredded chicken and Bar-B-Q sauce.
Place a cast iron skillet over coals or campfire grate. Add milk, cream cheese, and Head Country Championship Seasoning. Stir constantly until the cream cheese is melted, about 3 to 5 minutes.
Add both shredded cheeses and stir until melted. Add noodles and chicken, stirring to incorporate. Cook until heated through.
Serve and enjoy!
