Why are drumsticks so fun to eat? We’ve known it since we were kids. These drums are the excuse you’ve been looking for to sit at the kids’ table again, even if it’s just for one night, and chow down on a pile of these, paired with a scoop of creamy mac and cheese.
5 pounds chicken legs
Head Country Original Championship Seasoning
Head Country Sweet & Sticky BBQ Sauce
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
Dry drumsticks with paper towels. Place drumsticks on a foil-lined sheet pan, sprayed with non-stick spray, or in a greased baking dish.
Season drumsticks with Original Championship Seasoning (or our High Plains Heat, if you want a little kick). Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until chicken skin is crisp and internal temperature reaches 170 degrees F.
Pour a generous amount of Sweet & Sticky sauce over the drumsticks, tossing to coat. Return drumsticks to the oven and continue baking for another 5-10 minutes, or until sauce begins to caramelize and bubble.
Serve with sliced green onion for a pop of fresh flavor. We love these drumsticks with the classics: mashed potatoes, roasted broccoli, and macaroni and cheese. Enjoy!
MAKE THESE DRUMSTICKS IN THE AIR FRYER:
Follow the instructions above. Add seasoned chicken legs in batches to air fryer basket coated with non-stick spray. Cook for 30-35 minutes at 400 degrees F, until an internal temperature of 170 degrees F. Remove chicken from air fryer and toss with Sweet & Sticky sauce. Repeat with remaining batches of drumsticks.
